Barrister’s Ball

On behalf of SBA Social Chair, Dominique Banos:

Fellow Poets,

It is officially the countdown to Barrister’s Ball. This is obviously my favorite event and time of the year! A lot of time, dedication and hard work have gone into the event, not only by me but the rest of the SBA board. This night will be one to remember, especially for us graduating students, as this is our last Barrister’s Ball.

I truly hope you all have an amazing night.

This year we are having a Masquerade Ball at the Irvine Marriott, located at 1800 Von Karman. The night is going to begin at 9:00pm where we will have Champagne Hour accompanied by a beautiful Violinist & Cellist Duo.

At 10:00pm the Tuscany Room Ballroom doors will open. This is where we will carry ourselves into the night with dancing, hors d’oeuvres, a photo booth to capture memories and a three-hour hosted bar.  At midnight the Barrister’s Court will be introduced and your chosen Kings and Queens will be announced! (See voting details below)*

Please remember to drink responsibly and be safe.  If you are staying in the hotel be mindful of other hotel guests. If you are not staying in the hotel, keep in mind UBER, Lyft, and Taxi Cabs when getting home. If you do not use UBER or Lyft, please save Irvine Taxi Company in your phones ahead of time, (949) 945-8949.

I am looking forward to seeing all your beautiful faces at the event.  If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to contact me at anytime: DBanos@poets.whittier.edu.

Sincerely,

Dominique Banos, SBA Social Chair
